Name: Teddy
Age: 23
Notes on age: well, his age is sort of a moot point now, but vampires will show signs of aging if they go too long without food, usually manifesting itself as grey hair.
Height: 6 ft 5 in
History and Personality: Teddy’s father is the leader of a gypsy trade caravan, and his mother was a villager who joined his father and the caravan when she was younger on a romantic whim. As the years passed, the appeal of the nomadic life wore off for her, but she wasn’t willing to leave because that would mean abandoning the young Theodore. She was very protective of her son and disagreed with many of the gypsy beliefs and customs. Because of this Teddy was raised on the edge of a group instead of part of it. He developed a liking for quietly listening in on events from the fringes, and earned respect among the rest of the caravan for being able to propose objective and well-thought out solutions to problems. They eventually elected Teddy as his father’s successor when he retired, although Theodore was never able to assume this role.
Gypsies have a strong connection to Solifidians, and so the dislike and distrust of them among other humans has only increased from the modem day. One important different between the gypsies in our world and he ones in Hurrocks Fardel is that their economic status has changed drastically. The favoritism that Solifidians show them meant that they were not as harshly hit by the Shadows War, have access to trade routes passing through Solifidian land, and enjoy a whole slew of other privileges. They tend to be a wealthy group, often tolerated for the foreign good that they sell. Teddy’s caravan does not have as close contact with Solifidans as others do because their route doesn’t bring them as far away from human territories.
