apologies for the super late update. don't worry I'm not giving up on the comic, I'm just working nearly 11 hour days and so have been a bit short on time recently. it's a great job, mentoring at public schools in New Orleans but damn its exhausting. I'll see if i can pick up the pace a bit now that I'm getting used to it.
Thayne's the name of the sour looking blond fellow, name courtesy of Skarlog and Skittsue.
StellaFrost: yeah, she might be able to get off with the whole mind control thing, but she's not helping her case at all.
Imola: ^_^ Mina would make tragically short work of the dear boys in uniform
Azhtann: yes, they were trained rather heavily in political pr concerns as well as vampire hunting.
somebody: poor souls, they do need Drake's help rather badly right now, don't they?
AyoWolf: and away they go!
tRickityHouses: slightly hampered by lock induced difficulties
Satu-aka: Teddy's not really cut out for a fugitive lifestyle, is he?
re Bearagirl119: sadly Teddy's not thinking all that fast, joan might end up having to carry him.
re Cup0fDOOM: I'm glad to offer a bit of a break. For further non-sparkly vampires might I suggest Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett? I always find his vampires deeply entertaining, plus the girls kick some serious ass.
re Skarlog: hah! I got to put the names to use, thanks guys!
re dragonmaiden50: they totally could have pulled the door shuffle gag if the silly shop lady hadn't been practical and locked her back door, curses, foiled again!
re Omnom: oh man, I don't think I could stand Twilight fans running all over my workplace. You have my deepest sympathy
re Onasaki: cue creepy banjo music?
re XxWhiterosesxX: yeah, Joan and Teddy are a little bit hopeless in crisis situations.
re AngelGoneWrong:luckily for Teddy they burst into a store, which is a private building and so needs no invite for him. Yes, all those things exist, although Santa and the bunny have become rather washed out presences due to the serious decline of Christianity. The Penndragon was the product of the huge mashup of apocalyptic traditions that the Solifidians tapped into when they staged the Shadows war (Revelations and Ragnarock are particularly big on dragons but plenty of others have them too). Penndragon was king Arthur's last name and he had a resurrection at a time of great need prophecy about him too, but it also just literally means "great dragon." So it's got no clear origins, but basically its a blending of different stuff that resulted in the big metaphysical upheaval that the Solifidians caused when they all resurfaced. they'll be more background on it and how it relates to Drake in time.
re FleetNightHuntress: sadly in the current setting blood banks are a bit think on the ground, but some vamps have figured out their own ways of dealing with their...dietary restrictions. They'll make an appearance later.
re xDauntx: Ideally once a week but sadly at the moment whenever I can.
Mina' s being quick with uniform work only shows her professionism. ;)
How come that even though that backdoor and the wall Teddy' s leaning on are in the same plane, we only see the edge of the door but a whole plane (with wonderful looking shadows) of the wall?
Hi! So I've been reading this for the last couple of days, and I've got to say, I'm hooked! Your story and story-telling is just too awesome, I can't stop reading! Anyway, thank you for all the awesomeness and this is me wishing you more power!
You know what is weird, my first thought was to scream " Use your lazar-beam eyes!!" But I came to the quick realization that vampires do not have lazer beams, but that would be one interesting vampire. And I will look into that book you suggested, I always like a good read.
