and the villain of the flashback finally makes his appearance.
For those of you who had guessed from the chapter title, yes George as in the Saint, the Dragon Slayer and The Red Cross Knight. He's in full armor because, well that how he's always shown and he's a person who Bahamut would effect particularly strongly. It is heinously uncomfortable, but given that this is the time when hair shirts were popular I'm not sure that he would consider that a negative.
re Neko with a Katana: thats what happens when you combine a powerful church and a warrior elite.
re StellaFrost: yup, looking back, especially at the Crusades and some of the fiasco that happened makes you just want to face palm.
re Onasaki: from their view point they had a good reason to do so though. Dragons are dangerous, destructive, and affiliated with the devil in Revelations.
re Purple_Pigeon:the cave just forces them down to their lowest expenditure of magic. For the adults that have mastered shape shifting that's a completely human form but the little ones aren't quite there yet (their magic isn't as strong yet either so their partial transformation is at about the same level of magic as an adults fully human form)
re Azhtann: he will given half the chance
re Barnes: he certainly intends to
re Miya: oh yes it is
re Skittsue: well, now you get a look at him
re Imola: I'm gonna have to go back and finish that prologue thing that I was working on a while back to tell that story. Curse my real life and it's demands on my time.
Heh. I saw the first text bubble and I thought 'St. George the dragon slayer?'. In school they always told us it was the metaphorical dragon of paganism that he slayed. I guess they weren't paying attention. hehe.
