Well, as promised, an extra update to make up for missing tuesday's, and in color too.
Drake's helpfulness seems to have taken a rather selfish turn, and Joan's rather dubfounded by Drake's rather abrupt agressivness.
re VampireKizu: if you use "meal" for the M then the acronym will still work.
re TheDemonDragonCat: aybe, depends on how accurate the resemblance is.
re doom Bubbles: not happy at all.
re XxIntegralEinxX, Darkestlight, and Zed Di Dragon: IntegralEin is right. The car's a remainder of the "information age," which is pretty much out time-period. The Shadows War was all apocalyptic and shot things back to the technology level of the Dark Ages for the most part (some things that didn't require a lot of infastructure to support or specialized knowledge, such as basic sanitation, survived). So far the setting hasn't done a good job of establishing that, so I try to add reminders throughout. The car was on the cover page of the chapter, so it ended up here too.
re Lucida: poor Joan, so one seems to be concerned about her.
re white_wolf1989: Hope you had a happy birthday.
re Assuni: He hasn't attacked anything unprovoked or in his right mind, but he did tear up the other vampire rather throughly, and, justified or not, it made a bit of a lasting impression on Joan.
re Mythee: I'm still trying to find a color scheme that I like and that doesn't take too much time. I may end up going back to the browns, and around sunset things will certainly take on a redish and brown hue.
re Theflowerchild: quick! chocolate-covered deer, now!
re teurastaa: poor fellow, if only it where that easy, his liver can't handle medication designed for humans.
BatsAreFlyingRats: ah, finaly some simpathy for poor old joan. The blues will come back for night scenes, which teddy insures will be common.
I support Drake on this one. He HAS been going out of his way a lot to help both Joan and the little baby vampy. And he DID warn her that he would be mean when hungry and that she should back off. Then he only says the truth, and is even going to fill the canteen! Good guy.
