that last pannel made me sad, not because of all the dead bodies, but because I had to draw them all. I was so fed up with them by the end that I would have killed them off again if they weren't already dead.
The dragons tend to be the dead with the brighter clothes. You might recognize some of the Drakes who had been arguing together back on page 250 on the floor of the assembly hall.
re Onasaki well, we've reached the assembly hall where his family was, so its now the moment of truth as to their fate.
re azureremix: thanks ^_^
re Rae: I'm not sure where you're thinking of when you're remembering something about them thinking Drake's dead.
re fallingfeather: all my bearded fellows seem to look the same. The cardplayers are on the floor of the assembly hall here.
re Tenshi Yami no Neko: we'll meet the mastermind behind the attacks and learn his motivation soon.
re Kaiyaweird: thanks, I spent a while figuring out how I was going to set it up.
re mage_116: yeah, sorry about the cliffy. I hate when things like that happen.
re Azhtann: although to be fair dragons are pretty big on destruction too.
re doom Bubbles: and things just keep getting worse
Oooh...carnage! Poor Drake -- all that angst to deal with!
...Will you do more "woodcut" style pages, in the style of the first few pages? Or return to black and white/ line-art style? Not that I don't enjoy your use of colour, but frankly, I find your black and white work, from earlier in the comic, superior. I especially like the way you rendered hair, or would have a splash of colour here and there. It was very striking!
