RAWR, a new dragon gets a not-so-warm greeting from Drake.
Some folks might be worrying about Drake rearing up, since it exposes his belly, but it's actually a reasonable move. Dragons have some heavy plating along his belly, so while the odd little magic arrow might get through they don't have much to worry about from the heavy claws and teeth from other dragons. Drake also seriously outweighs the newcomer, so rearing up gets him the high ground and the option of pinning him. It's also the classic intimidation move of making oneself as large looking as possible.
The new dragon's a slightly different variety than what we saw around the other meetings. He's smaller, with spines instead of fur down his back.
Slightly unrelated, but I was watching the presidential inauguration while finishing up this page, so it's sort of relevant: Go Obama!
one more thing, on site maintenance: more links are up in the link sections, and I'm still taking link exchanges. Also, my system of uploading fanart at the end up chapters isn't working now that it's taking me longer to finish chapters, so I went ahead and posted all the fanart in the fanart section, some of which was long overdue, so go ahead and pay those spots a visit.
re comic king: ^_^
re LuluMoon: hah! Drake fears no dragon!
re Onasaki: on the way ^_^
re tricorn5: oops, looks like this "killer" doesn't live up to his silhouette.
re Kaiyaweird: thanks ^_^
re Tenshi Yami no Neko: oh no, live! live!
re Mr.Blackbird: landing a lead over a heap of burning rubble.
re VampireKizu: I think even Drake would have issues maintaining calousness with dead dragons everywhere.
re Imola: Flashbacks at least give some security in the knowledge that they have to survive to flashback. doing a link exchange would be great, you don't happen to have any smaller banners, do you? I've been using 88x30 size banners. I've been putting the most effort on the Smackjeeves site since I know how to edit the html best, so I'm directing all the links here.
re tRickityHouses: thanks, I make an effort to show some muscle on the dragons, especially for the warrior Drakes.
yay! there's something that can't quite beat a huge, snarling, intimidating dragon. that is just what dragons were meant to be- big and scary. and i like how you've done that (esp the big part!). friendly dragons are fine, but to me they have lost their novelty, and i like my dragons to at least be capable of acting scary. Drake certainly can, and now i hope more than ever that he can get his dragon form back soon. great work- keep it coming!
I spy with my little eye...
I shee... a package on his arm like Drake has...which would make him another Drake...
But the question to be asked is if it's from that land or another doing the same as Drake, just arriving. Duh-duh-duuun. >3
