Drake's not quite as balanced as he likes to think. This is part of the reason for the dramatic mood-swing when the knight appeared, aswel as some other of the other things he does (the whole kidnapping thing fits in quite well with most dragon ledgends too).

just like most humans distrust and dislike gypsies for some of the magical or fae-like elements in stories about them, Solifidians dislike look down upon pseudo-dians like vampires for their human orrigins. pseudo-dians are also looked down upon or excluded because of how unstable they are. (psudo-dian refers to solifidians that are born human. It's slightly derrogatory because it implies a inferiority. Drake doesn't use the term regaurdless of what he thinks of them because an un-pc seccond son could be disastorous for a noble family, so Drake has learned to avoid slurs if not discrimination. I use the term for simplicity's sake in my comments).

The stick figures are back. finals are starting, and we're getting ready to sell the house, so the following week will be heactic. luckily, the next page or so will be easier to draw due to the lack of backgrounds and siplicity of the drawings. I will be taking a few short-cuts so that I can continue updating every three days.

bringing back the quote of the day:
Call on God, but row away from the rocks.

I think that second panel just might be the best panel so far in the entire comic. It's just awesome

^^, well, now Drake's having to compete with a vampire for fans, so his manager came in and started demanding more good shots of him.

This was a really good page! Sorry I have to do THIS to it...

*Marches in Spelling/Grammar Army*
2nd panel: it should be "those WHO WERE born human" you've got "those that where". Ferals should be sad little souls "WHO", not "that", weren't able to handle the connection etc. The first text box in the third panel is an awkward sentence. In the third panel, you have"leged" instead of "legend. In the last panel, "myth side" should probably be "mythical side"

*Marches out Army*

Sorry about that, really I am...

fixed (refresh to see new one). I did leave the "those that where" as is because it seems to flow better, and Drake won't be using perfect grammar in speach.

Yep, this is one of the most original comics I' ve ever seen, with a great, great story. ^_^

Zheyna, May 26th, 2006, 5:39 pm

Well, it's okay to leave those that were... but I definitely think it should be "were" and not "where"

ANOUNCEMENT: finals ane preparing the house to put on the market has eliminated that chance of me getting the next page up on time. I'll be going on a brief hiatus for a few days to get things under controll.

re Imola: thanks

re Zheyna: damn, I'd thought I'd gotten over my mixing up "where" and "were" problem ages ago, curse the english language.

re dirtsa: aye, stick figures let me make it through finals

re Analitha: there's a difference between saying something and beleiving it, and between one person believing something and a whole lot of them beleiving it. Solifidians are affected by by what large groups of people beleive, but yeah, one relly good story-teller or book could change their world
