what? Drake being helpful? Joan smells a rat.

after the last page some of you may be thinking "what? Vampires? WTF dai?" so, a short explanation. I love vampires, but don't love the way they're done in many stories. After some friends showed me the end of Buffy, and, despite some of the amusing dialouge, I was left going "those are the saddest vampires I have ever seen," I decided to try my hand at vampires. I'm geing into this well-aware of how often vampires are used, I just want to see what I can do with the genre.

Some others of you may be thinking "Red Cross? like the hospital people?" much of this comic is nostalgic, and one of my favorite childhood book was the Red Cross Knight, an issutraited section of the Fairie Queen. The knight fights a dragon, gets killed three or four times, gets revived each time, and finaly kills the poor, confused dragon. The Knights Templar also used the read cross on a white feild as their emblem (white for their purity as monks, red for their violence as warriors). In my story the Order of the Red Cross started as a organization for fighting Solifidians, and now it also does things like enforce treaties ect.

kool beans, i know how cliche' vampires are too i actually have a story line set up wth a friend that we might be posting up a long time from now lol great page as usual ^^

aye, cliches can be fun if you're not in denial about them. I hope I can pull it off well. Someone who handles vampire stories extreemly well is Terry Pratchett, so. freaking. funny.

I think Drake wants to help the vampire more than the villagers...
Nice page! Nice beginning of the day! ^.^

For some odd reason, I really like Joan's eye in the third panel. And I like how you're doing the facial hair for Fitz's father.

And I am correcting my earlier comment on Fanime con. I will hopefully be cosplaying as Nekozawa from Ouran High School Host Club. My sis is going as a giant Beelzenef. Dunno if you're read the manga/watched the anime. But yeah, have Cerise give me a call on my cell phone, and maybe our groups can meet up for big events. (Masquerade and such since my group always stations someone out there and we're always within the first twenty or so people.) But yeah, look for the giant Cat hand puppet walking around next to the person in a black cloak with a regular version of the puppet. So, see ya there... hopefully.

Yay! Time to kill things!

P.S. n the zoomed out panel, look at Fitz's left leg. Deformed much?

Thanks for making this webcomic I read around forty different web comics but i find myself looking for your updates specificly. Thanks for taking your time to draw it.

Drake's gonna explain what he's up to on the next page, so I'll let him speak for himself, as to other things:

re Xeluu:there isn't enough facial hair in manga, which is a pity, because its fun to do, It also eliminates the trouble of those pesky crooked jaw-lines

our group had the recent addition of a Ceras and a Zorn (prehaps a Pip too). I'll tell Cerise to give you a call when we get there.

Redsweathshirt: I was trying to make the leg all bent and walking like...meh, at least the person's small and inconspicuous.

re Moragnog: thanks, getting feedback like that really makes me enjoy making it.

Ahaha, Carpe Jugulum was a great book. Buffy, on the other hand, makes me ill.

daidaishar, May 25th, 2006, 10:27 pm

Re Gregory: have you read Monstorous Regiment?

re Analitha: hi (isn't putting off studing lovely?)
