Drake has just made Joan feel very stupid, but that's ok since she got the horse to bite him.

Drake's cursing in Irish. Basic translation: my god! my ear! shit! shit! shit! MY EAR! Drake's main two languages are french and Irish.

did the horse understand her? yes and no. as a median, she can twist the world around her unconsiously, especialy in situations like this where she's in a story-like setting. In stories animals are always inteligent and loyal. Hence her horse is smarter than the average horse and loyal to her. It can't understand speach, but it knows more vocal commands than most animals would. This twisting of reality that Joan does is one of the more subtle effects or her being a median, it's also probably part of the reason for Kyle's "hero complex."

yes, the horse is named Beau Beau.

next page up in two or three days, I'm going to try to build up a buffer so updates aren't interrupted by finals.

HAHA! Deserved it! I love you Beau Beau! *Has new favorite character*
The drawing is sketchy in the first four, and definetley(i can't spell that word) not your best for the rest of it, I'm sorry but it's true.
The lines are funny though!

Here comes the grammar police! I beleive it's technically not "Irish" but "Gaelic". It's still bloody hilarious though.

re Imola: hurrah for random little aimals in the background

re teurastaa: I didn't hink I did that well executing it, so I'm glad the bite got a giggle out of you.

re Redsweathshirt: I'm thinking that it's the backgrounds that make it seem so sketchy. In order to turn out pages as often as I do, I need to comprimise some quality, and since I'm none too fond of backgrounds, these are what suffer most. The hills come out especialy lacking, because upping the contrast to clean up the pages erases some of the lines.

luckily, this is the last of the pages with hilly backgrounds, so, while the backgrounds will never become crisp and neat, they should become a bit more defined.

re Jayge: hmm, I've seen "Irish" and "Gaelic" used interchangably, even on books and tapes for teaching the language, which I hope would get it right. I used "Irish" because it was easier to spell, and it was late when I was writing the comments.

hahahaha go horsey ^_^

Wow. I actually knew what language you were using for once. No one speaks Irish anymore =(. Not even the Irish XD.

Btw, it WOULD be Irish. Gaelic is a very broad term that encompasses several languages, most of which are ancient and dead.

daidaishar, May 18th, 2006, 7:05 pm

i think some folks still use it in isolated areas, and there are efforts being made to bring it back.

Those top ones are possibly the funniest four panels I have ever seen. Had me laughing for a good straight five minutes. I love it.
