sorry its late, AP week has arrived, expext delays ahead.

My apposogies to anyone who has ever named anything horsish back Beauty, Drake can be very opinitonated, if it's any consolation, I think I had at least five toy horses names Black beauty when I was little.

Any history buffs up to identifying any of Drake's referances?

I like the middle panel; Drake looks good, as always, but this isn't one of Joan's better pages. I don't get the reference, heck, I don't even know how to pronoucne it O_o;

Bucephalos was Alexander the Great' s horse. He loved him so much that when the horse died he named a city after him.

uther- pendragon. arthur pendragon. legend of arthur, camelot, the green knight, all that jazz. i do love those stories...

joan's nose looks weird this chapter.

re Butterscotch: I think that my art style may be shifting a bit again. I've been drawing more from real photoes than manga, so that's probably the reason. joan's fallen temporary victim to the little inconclusive in-between stage, but hopefully things will settle in a page or two.

re Imola: spot on, kudos to you ^^

re Jayge: ah yea, the wonders of Authurian ledgend. It got eclipsed in joan's time by the Pendragon from the Shadows War, so unfortunatly they don't remember these fine fellows (Uther is such a fun name to say)

and yes, Joan's nose has fallen victim to a slight migration in art style, I shoud get things sorted out in a page or two. (she's glad that people care though, and sends her love)

woohooo history class lolz. it's so wierd that i get interested in history when it's on a comic or manga but i fall asleep in history class o-0 <3 <3 great page as usual

Yay history! I applaud. I must say, I love Joan in the first panel and Drake in the second, but Joan in the second looks... well... wrong. Something about the tilt of her neck is off if she actually is thin enough for you to see her collarbones (which you do in panel one). Also, her chin appears to migrate downward...? Could just be me... It's just not my favorite shot of her. And I do love Drake's monologue.

What's this! A nostril! Two of them, in fact!

daidaishar, May 3rd, 2006, 10:42 pm

re teurastaa: I'm lucky enought to have a highly entertaining history class, so I tend to add historical things to my comic

re Zheyna:my necks and chins do shift around, still trying to figure out just how I want them. My character's collar bones stick out not nessisarily because the characters are skinny, but because I like collar bones.

re white_wolf1989: thanks

re Gregory Williams: oh no, the two of them must be rushed off to cosmetic surgery immediatly.

I love the historical elements that you put into your story; it gives it that much more depth.

:D Black Beauty was the first name to come to my mind on the preceding page! :D
