So, we end Chapter 5 in a similar situation to how it started: a depressed Teddy, disgruntled Joan, and insensitive Drake (although perhaps he's being mean on purpose, Teddy did stab him in the belly, and while it's not Teddy's fault and Drake can't truly blame him, dragons can hold some nasty grudges).
Next chapter will be in the local human city, New Kent. I never really thought I would get to this point when I first started, wow.
a new vote incentive for top comics is going up (finaly) of a partially transformed Drake (link at bottom of the page). I'll also be posting a remake of page 2 to match the woodcut style of the new page 1.
re 2SkyDragon: very badly, he's needed a hug for a while now.
re Zira27: thanks ^_^
re bloomygirl315: me too, even if I would probably murder him in real life.
re BellaMai: at least the chapter ended before he could keep going.
re Tenshi Yami no Neko: I honestly probably couldn't handle Teddy's emoness without Drake around.
re Neko with a Katana: yup, Drake used to be all tall and imposing, and then he wakes up one day to find that humanity has caught up. He is most disgruntled.
re Imola: Joan doesn't get a chance unfortunatly, but she'll doubtless get a chance to get back at him later.
re Angelzora: for the first page I found a bunch of images of woodcuts on google images and used them as a basis.
re Onasaki: and now there isn't even a picture, just writing on a black background.
re doom Bubbles: I think he's still bitter about getting belly-gouged
re CAPTAiN SCoTT: the new avatar's cool, I like the hat.
re Zhai: nope, Teddy just takes it all quietly.
re Butterscotch: I was actually thinking about that too when doing the page, I should find Teddy a straw hat.
re Zheyna: I liked the pannel with the mourners too, but mostly because it was easier to do.
re LuluMoon: glad it makes you happy ^_^
re Lucida: Joan's been chilling the sidelines recently, she needs to reassert herself.
re Mr.Blackbird: I might've pointed it out on accident anyways, like "hey look, they've got some sort of bonfire thing going on, I think it's like a funeral or...oh...oops."
re Mythee: unfortunatly, Drake picks on everybody, not just depressed people, so sicking him on the emo means you'll also have to endure his company.
re Nosa: sometimes I feel bad about all the stuff I put Teddy though, but most of the time I just find it funny.
re PJupiter: maybe it's a defensive mechanism, like he doens't want to get depressed too, so he just steamrolls over them.
re Hippiepanda: oop, chapter ending cut her off, we'll just give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she does.
re axielouise: I think Drake might like being irritating. When folks want info from him, he can be evasive, but when folks want to be left to their own thoughts, he talks. Also, once he gets started, he keeps going. He really likes the sound of his own voice. Or he could be trying to prevent universal mopeyness and getting depressed himself.
ok this is a disheartening page. I seriously thought something new was up T.T nvm i'll stop complaining ^^ just as long as you don't forget about this comic and just leave it hanging like this. btw have you thought up an ending yet? I know it's probabaly wayyyy early to be asking but still...i'm curious ^^
(Actually, I think Drake and I would get along pretty ok. Since, well, we share a sense of humor, and I am impossible to get angry or excited, ahaha. xD *high fives Drake* *is eaten instead* D8> Besides, don't you think asking a dragon to act like a human is a bit much? xDD Joan needs to accept that a beast is a beast and asking one to change its very nature would not only be selfish, but refusing to understand and to accept reality. Well, that is, if you want to be friends with beasts. If you don't, then I guess you can assume they have a personality disorder all you want. xDD)
I'm looking forwards to the next chapter! n-n ~ <33 Thanks for sticking to it so long. All colored, too. xD;; That's a lot of work!
