she says that when Drake introduces himself towards the start of ch 2.
re Imola: *gasp* no Halloween? I know it's horribly commercial in the states, but I'm a child at heart and love dressing up for it.
re amiko_16: thanks ^_^
re Onasaki: MONKEY!
re teurastaa: I did pirates and ninjas last year, so I'll wait a while before revisiting them (not that they're not awesome). I'm hesitant about doing another comic-theme since it'll be a bit of an inside joke (although that would be a fun art exchange). I seem to be doodling a lot of period dress, so I might use that for a costume theme.
re TheDemonDragonCat: might have something to do using mental images of cats when doing a lot of Drake's ear expressions.
re tricorn5: that does happen to him every so often.
tr Angelzora: i might, unfortuantly I;m not into any particular series right now except the old batman cartoons (which are awesomely funny) and I'm not too keen on the whole spandex thing.
re Neko with a Katana: good old Joan.
re doom Bubbles: I copied the same lineart layer, then altered the face in each one, but colored each one separatly so that there was still variation.
re comic king: I've certainly put it off long enough.
re Wowfreak2011: thanks ^_^
re bloomygirl315: ears like Drakes are great for surprised expressions.
re TheoryMage and Enkida: thanks, i got a lot of good feedback on it, so I'll probably use it again, but sparingly.
re Mythee: poor Teddy T_T
re axielouise: most of it should be laid out by the time he's done talking.
re BatsAreFlyingRats: refering back to the story bargain. Drake owes her one story each day, but they missed the last one because of the Teddy thing.
re Mr.Blackbird: I might go with traditional costumes like those. I've also been doodling them in period dress, which could be a fun costume theme
re MADtiger: starting next page.
re PJupiter: Drake hasn't had much of an expression range outside of ticked off, has he? Latly I can't blame him, what with the belly wound, but he'll be getting a bit more variety soon.
doomBubbles: I would guess that the significance of the name Drake is that he HAS no other name. He said the name had to do with being a second son, right? And as a second son, he's almost a commodity.
Ergo, Dai, you get points for having as a main character someone who, if purely looked at through the lens of status and circumstance, is totally unremarkable. Which is not to say that, when looked at as a character, Drake does not kick serious ass.
You could have them dress up as Spartans, like you did... OR... do you watch Firefly? Characters in Firefly costume is always good. Or they could be pirates and ninjas (3 guesses where Joan ends up).
Nope, no Halloween, but there' s a nice break we have on Nov 1st when people go to cemeteries to put candles on the tombs. This is most convenient for catching up with school, not to mention our house stands just opposite of a cemetery (don' t count the two streets and the little canyon between them) so it' s quite a sight with all those candles.
well it's not so much the dressing up part of halloween that makes it so great it's just the freakin awesome horror theme you get with it! (a lot of people get scared easy so I guess thats why it comes once a year) Your Nov 1 break sounds more serious though...I think That will make an excellent idea to one of my horror stories...(I secretly write stories when nobody's lookin XD)
