Sorry about the long delay. I failed to work ahead and set up updates before leaving on vacation to the Galapagos, so yeah... Gonna try to be better now that I'm back.
Anyway, Mina meets the others. She's not being super welcoming, but Joan in particular represents quite a threat. She may or may not warm up.
Eva Emaria: Drake's relationship with Mina is similar to relationships between dragons (violent but protective), so it's comfortingly familiar for him. I've decided that Eira and her entourage are in residence, but Mina is going to do her best (which is very good) to keep Drake away from them to avoid any 'incidents.' Eira may still get the pleasure of punching him though.
re Arrikanez: Oh Aylis, if Drake wasn't punched regularly he would be unbearable.
re man in black: That's the only reason Drake can get away with his behavior around her. I'm pretty sure she would have stabbed anyone else in the hand by now.
re Mina_Lunga: Yeah, I need to start planning out speech bubbles ahead of time more. I'll be working on that over the next pages. I might try handwriting like you do. Drake is never out of trouble.
re pfmoi: Mina is always ready to chew anybody out, especially Drake.
re tygermon: Oh dear, both Pestilence and Healing's champions are apparently huge flirts. This should be fun. I'll make sure Julian has a good time at the festival.
re Kadtie: oh, there will be much more of their relationship forthcoming.
Somehow, a vampire being treated like a dragon makes sense when you phrase it that way. :P And oh dear, they are already there. I might start doing a Where's Waldo to spot them now, just out of amusement. Poor Mina, trying to keep Drake away from eleven different people, a handful of who will recognize him on sight and blab to Eira... Joining the punching Drake club will be fun, though!
Double oh dear, sounds like the vampire troops are spread pretty thin. Wonder what Drake and Joan have stumbled into this time (and what her median-ness is going to muck with next)....
Careful with the handwriting - it can be really annoying. On the plus side even if you just pencil in the text you'll get a good idea of where to leave space in your art for the bubbles later. I did that for a long time with Gnoph before switching over entirely to hand lettering. And I think Mina (nice Bram reference, btw) will probably start to see the threat as a sword that can be used for her own ends.
