Poor Alex is done for too (and yup, the first fellow was indeed Leonidas), although Drake got a little nick in the process. Individually he is a better fighter than the Order's troops. Even without his magic or true form he has centuries of experience and slightly elevated strength and reflexes. The problem is that there are so many of them that little injuries add up and he's more of an offensive fighter as dragons tend to be given their aggressive nature and the excellent natural defense their scales automatically provide.
re Kadtie: Now I'm kinda angry with myself that I didn't use the turtles. I'll have to have a band of Renaissance painters show up later.
re man in black: poor thing
re Eva Emaria: I normally agree about carrying weapons on one's back (especially big ones, but if they're going to be crouching and crawling through underbrush the chances of weapons hung from the waist catching on things or dragging is equally problematic. The ones that are charging in with the main group are more likely to have the more traditional waist setup.
re Imola: Maybe Drake secretly saved him from a rather nasty homecoming.
re Arrikanez: none of the order are managing to get a whole lot of screen time. Poor things.
AJL9324: thanks ^_^
re Mina_Lunga: For some reason I've now imagined that his mother sent him along with a coat, but he left it back with the horses so it wouldn't get dirty and now I'm sad. I should not do replies when sleep deprived.
re OtakuNeko2499: I'd consider Cheshire some sort of trickster entity, not a god but definitely trickster affiliated.
That...seemed way too easy. Especially after all the trouble the villagers caused not too far back. I think Drake is being a typical dragon and getting a little too cocky after an easy first battle. And no Joan to bring him back down to Earth.
And yeah, sure, for sneaking, it SEEMS to make the most sense. But I don't know how sneaky they were being. *nosewrinkle* They were walking right in the open! Not impressed with their stealth level.
Also, totally linked Hurrocks Fardel to my blog. :P
Drake has a straight-forward attack zone: the neck. Apparently this isn't a common attack, since none of the knights are wearing neck armor. Or helmets. Or hats? Adrenaline must be keeping them warm :-) And don't worry, his mother had sixteen other children and never liked Leo that much, anyway.
