Here's out two newest champions. I've turned the Celestial Champion picture into a Wallpaper sized image and have added it as a voting incentive on the Topwebcomics site (voting button on the side menu)

We've moved onto the Elemental Champions. The winner in the Nature category is OtakuNeko2499's Meiyo (hope you like his human form, I went with a more Japanese aesthetic for his clothing given him being a Kirin but made him very pale to match his mythical form's white coat and golden mane ^_^).

To keep the number of Archetypes smaller I combined all of the water, ice, and ocean deities into a single water themed archetype and chose Rylee's Ice Champion to represent it. Polar Bears are so immensely powerful and great swimmers so I think he's a fitting champion for the larger category.

I've changed the timetable for updates a bit so that the comic pages stay up for a day or two longer than the champions instead of the other way around. You can expect the next comic page on Sunday and the next pair of champions on Wednesdays.

replies:

re Eva Emaria: Eira seems to be the sort of commander who cares about her followers, in which case she would be unlikely to trust Phoenix with any of them. Because he's truly immortal (not only does he not age like other Solifidians, he also respawns with his memories intact when killed) he considers even other Solifidians as inferior and disposable. He's elitist, manipulative, and callous in his dealings with others.

re Kadtie and Eva Emaria: I'm actually really happy that you two went though that process because Joan herself hasn't quite connected those two facts. She has the added disadvantage of never seeing Drake's dragon form as we have in flashbacks
(she still doesn't really think of him as a dragon), but I still wasn't sure if it was a natural oversight or not.

re Arrikanez: I'm glad you like Joan's hair. I was a little nervous about doing such a drastic redesign for her.

re Azhtann: Thanks ^_^ he's always fun to draw.

re Bowee: The one Phoenix thing also makes him an excellent match for the death and rebirth sun god thing.

Ahhh. See, learn new things all the time. :P Sounds like the Magnificent Bastard trope. But yes, as much as some of them annoy her (*glares at Rowen*), Eira is protective of her girls. If he even TRIED any of that business with her or them, she might whack him (whether or not it's lethal would depend on whether he succeeds in getting any of them killed or close to it) and scold him.

I like the Kirin, and merging all the water types seems like a good idea. *nodnod* Or else there were would be SO MANY.

Joan is SO allowed not to realize it. :P She hasn't seen pictures and we have. She just has words, and even as a median, sometimes just words are hard to connect.

I agree that putting all of the water into one archetype is a good idea. I like the symmetry that you have going so far with the champions.

*Blissful Fangirl moment*
Squeeee~! I'm so happy that you gave Meiyo a human form~! Both his forms look Fantasical! -^^-
You depicted Meiyo perfectly, and even added him a drink!
I'm so anxious for the comic to start updating again; I want to see all of these new characters in the story!

wow the archetypes look awesome *thumbs up* and I definitely agree with putting all the water archetypes together, it just makes it a little easier.
