writer's rant
any old readers may be wondering where the end of the chapter went, it used to be here. I ended ch 1 here before because of impending finals, but since Drunkduck's crash created an enforced hiatus I've pushed the end of chapter 1 a few pages back to what I think is a better stopping point.
"fut" in the first bubble is not a typo but good old-fashioned Shakespearian profanity
